GR86 w/1,600 miles.
This was my first day at Sonoma with the GR86. I've come to realize driving the Supra for a year has played some mind tricks on me in regards to car control. More seat time is required in the GR86 to get comfortable with it.
I now have the car aligned and added camber bolts in front. However, due to my rim offset and wider tires, I could not safely max out the use of the camber bolts - or else risk contact of the inner tire sidewall and the strut spring perch. Right now the car is running -1 degree camber in front with zero toe and the rear has minimal toe with -1.8 degrees of camber (all stock in the rear). I can use spacers or the OEM rim and tire setup to get more camber, but I prefer to wait for my coilovers later this year.
I do not recommend NASA at Sonoma Raceway. This is my second poor experience with them. Crowded and we got less seat time than documented for reasons unclear to us - there were no incidents and we tended to start on-time. One session was less than 10 minutes. If this wasn't a free day (courtesy of Toyota for all GR vehicles), I'd be very upset.
