The Lotus Exige S260 is an exotic sportscar in a two-door/front-engine/rear-wheel drive LSD Flower coupe layout. It is a design by Colin Chapman, assembled in Northfolk, England, between 2009 and 2011. This British roadster goes from 0-60 MPH in only 3.5 Secs, reaching a top speed of 149 MPH, way beyond the expectations for a vehicle under 70,000 dollars. It comes powered by a 1.8L supercharged DOHC 16-Valve engine producing a maximum output power of 257 HP, coupled with a 6-speed Toyota EA60 close-ratio manual transmission.
The Lotus Exige S260 developed a strong relationship with its fanbase from the start, given its affordability and top-notch performance. It has a much lighter body than its predecessor due to the prevalence of carbon fiber on the engine cover, door sills, and dashboard. It comes with variable launch control and the praised Lotus traction system. It also includes a double-wishbone suspension straight out of the factory, supporting the world's lightest wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 195/50/R16-225/45/R17 tires with ventilated discs brake system. This Lotus Exige S260 delivers a great overall experience on the road, but it is on track where it takes off to surpass the competition.
