The BMW E36 M3 is a two-door, four-seat coupe manufactured from 1995 to 1999 by BMW in their assembly plant in Regensburg, Germany. It used a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, with a 5-speed manual gearbox powered by a naturally-aspired inline six-cylinder 3.2L DOHC engine (S50B30).
