The Honda Civic Type R EP3 is a three-door hot hatch manufactured from 2001 to 2005 at Honda's factory in Swindon, England. This one runs with a naturally aspired 2.0L VTEC I4 gasoline engine that produces a maximum power of 215PS (158kW 212hp) and 149lb-ft of torque. It features a front-wheel-drive layout with a 6-speed manual gearbox, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-60MPH in 6.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 146mph. The Type R EP3 was the first Civic ever built in the UK, as a limited edition of only 300 units, 100 of them being available for each color produced (Silver, Black, and Red).
The Honda Civic Type R EP3 has much more efficient fuel management than its predecessors, thanks to its VTEC technology. It has a power-assisted rack & pinion steering type, a fully independent front suspension, and a double-wishbone rear for 205/45 R17 tires. A top-notch ventilated and cross-drilled front disc brake system with four-piston Brembo calipers is in charge of stopping the powerful engine and preventing damage during heavy braking. This Honda Civic Type R EP3 is well known as the sportiest version of Civics, and with its $16,000 price tag, any motorsport enthusiast shouldn't hesitate to get one if the opportunity comes.
