I had the opportunity to drive at a private track day at Hallett MRC, running CCW. There were four groups with only five cars per group. The day started out in the 70s, but quickly headed back into mid-90s by the afternoon.
I ran in the 1:25s, which was in range of my old personal best, so I figured I'd go for a hot lap and push a little harder. With some gear shift changes and focus on trying to maintain full-throttle as much as possible, I managed to pull off a 1:24.29, which was about 1.3 seconds faster than my previous personal best. You'll have to forgive the fist pumps, I was happy as hell.
The video also has a few bonus laps thrown in, just for fun.
Next stop: the 1:23s?!
I'm just a guy driving his 2014 Mustang GT on track, trying to go as fast as I can.
