The Ford Mustang GT Track Pack is a much-improved version of the S197. It was in production from 2013 to 2014 in the Ford assembly plant in Flat Rock, Michigan. Even though the car was still under the S197 platform, this one runs a 5.0 L Coyote DOHC 32-valve V8 with 420 horsepower, MT-82 6-speed manual gearbox, keeping the same RWD layout. It has a maximum speed of 150 mph (240 km/h) and bursts from 0-60 mph in 4 seconds. The current price of the Ford Mustang GT Track Pack S197 is around $42,000.
Some of the GT Track Pack improvements may vary from year to year, and some of them include a 3.7 axle making the car more responsive. We find that it has carbon-fiber clutch plates for hard-driving, a new engine oil cooler, and an upgraded radiator. This Mustang features recalibrated traction control and high-performance Pirelli Summer tires 255/40 R19 on the front and 275/40 R19 on the back. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) on the Ford Mustang GT Track Pack S197 increases its stopping power. Its curb weight is 3400 lbs (1543 kg), a little heavy for its market segment.
